The Weekly Pump: Schwarzenegger vs Aliens, True Lies, LAH & More!

I’m back! I apologize for the lack of discipline around here as the pandemic sank me into a lazy funk but Arnold’s NEW inspirational newsletter he just put out gave me the spark I needed to get off my ass and to get back to business! In his newsletter, you read that Schwarzenegger vowed to lose weight (to return to his ideal 218 pound weight) and now I have a goal: to get back to this fantastic community of fans! So my vow is to give you at least a once a week update from everything within the Schwarzenegger universe.

In Arnold’s newsletter, he shared with his fans his desire to get back to his former 218 pound weight. TheArnoldFans took to Twitter to give our boss some encouragement. Schwarzenegger responded.

Schwarzenegger also responded to TMZ’s story about being chosen as the single best person to take on an alien invasion. Schwarzenegger won this UK poll by a landslide but Will Smith of Men In Black came in at second place. TheArnoldFans took to Twitter once more to strongly encourage Arnold to look for a script to do such a battle with an alien army. Sure, Dutch took on the Predator but nothing would make us more happy than to see Schwarzenegger take on thousands of threatening, creepy life-forms from another world!

In other news, the True Lies series for CBS has been delayed. It’s been pushed back, giving the producers more time to focus on a higher quality production rather than to rush it. But for those of you who really wanted some big spy adventures, fear not because Arnold says his Netflix series is nearly ready for production.

“My Netflix series reminded me of a new version of True Lies, so I signed on immediately,” says Arnold.  “ It’s coming along and once it’s safe to shoot we’ll get going.”

While we were teased before about this unnamed spy series, we are surprised to hear Arnold mention that he has more film (or streaming) projects coming!

“I have also signed on to a few other scripts,” Arnold begins. "I’m excited to share but the one I’m really excited for is the script for the sequel to Twins, Triplets, that we’ll get any day. We plan to shoot that later this year and after seeing Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America, I’m so excited to work together finally.”

I can’t wait to hear what these "few other scripts” are that Arnold signed on for but one upcoming release I do know about is the re-release of "Last Action Hero” which sounds amazing considering the content within this 4K treatment of the film. On May 14th we will be treated to see some all new Jack Slater scenes including an alternate ending to the film, deleted and alternate scenes!

Target will soon release this lenticular packaging with an awesome 3D morphing effect of Schwarzenegger as the Terminator into Douglas Quaid. I don’t think there’s much new here for specials features for this T2 / Total Recall release but some of us might have to pick this product up just for the amazing lenticular card.
