Exclusive: Dark Fate’s Gabriel Luna Talks Turkey, Toys and TurboMan!

On screen, Terminators can be threatening, cold hearted and take what they will. However, in the real world, Schwarzenegger and Gabriel Luna are focused on giving back! Luna, the Rev-9 from Terminator: Dark Fate has committed to joining Arnold giving back to families in need this holiday season.

TAF: You got to hand out turkeys for Thanksgiving and toys at Christmas with Arnold. Do you have plans to do something with Arnold again this year?

Absolutely. That is now something that I will keep as a tradition for the rest of my life, so I will be there every year. Arnold will never die, he is a legend, but if he every decides to take a break I’ll carry on that tradition for him. That is a tradition I’ll carry on for the rest of my life so I’ll be there! And Arnold will never die, because he is a legend, but if he ever decides to take a break, I’ll carry on that tradition for him.
Luna told TheArnoldFans how his involvement with The Hollenbeck Youth Center came to be.
He started to ask me to join him at charity events. He’s been handing out turkeys for the last 27 years in East LA in Boyle Heights and Hollenbeck Park and he’s also been giving out presents and stuff. And I just thought, he asked me and I was so honored that he would ask me to come join him.

Turboman, last year, was performed by Randy Jennings of TheArnoldFans. He’ll be there again this year.
Oh, wow, that was him? Excellent, I’ll see him again then. And it’s his son that did the Lego (Terminator minifigures)? I remember those Lego because someone put it on Instagram.
On Twitter, Gabriel Luna commented on the Terminator: Dark Fate Lego minifigures by Randy’s son, Miles Jennings.
Speaking of toys, Luna talks with us a bit on Terminator: Dark Fate toys!

TAF: I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of Rev-9 merchandise, hopefully some with your likeness.

I hope so!

TAF: Will you collect them?

Absolutely! They already gave me these little toys from China that are all like little bears, the whole cast.

TAF: Did you see any other products for the future?

Yeah, they sent me an approval for a really cool statue that WETA is making which does have my likeness, which is cool. I’d always joke, I’ve gotta start playing characters that don’t look as cool as skeletons, because all the Ghost Rider toys that come out of course it’s with the flaming skull, and all the Terminator stuff that’s come out so far has been with the skeleton. I gotta start playing characters that are cooler as my own face.

*Below are upcoming animated style characters by WETA for Terminator: Dark Fate. We imagine the Gabriel Luna WETA statue would be in this same animated style.
