Arnold Arrives in China to Open Arnold Classic Asia

Arnold has arrived in China to open the first-ever Arnold Classic Asia Multi-Sports Festival which takes place from 10am until 6pm on August 19th through 21st 2016 at the Asia World Expo venue in Hong Kong.
 

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Arnold praised China's athletes participating in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and clarified why he is happy for Arnold Classic to be making its debut in China.

"If you come to Asia, you really hit, like I said, two-thirds of the world population, 4.4 billion people. So you can really reach out and reach a lot of people. You cannot have a successful fitness promotion, bodybuilding promotion and health promotion without including Asia."

Arnold went on to discuss why he chose Hong Kong as the location for Arnold Classic Asia,

"One of my favorite countries is China, and Hong Kong is a place I have promoted my movies, I have promoted Special Olympics here. It's a hip place. So if you want to present something new and different, I think Hong Kongis the place to go. It's a great place for people to come together from all the Asian countries, and then unite here and celebrate sports and fitness."

Arnold inspired and encouraged people to exercise in order to look after their physical fitness and overall health as he reminisced about how he would exercise five or six hours everyday when he attended University.

Arnold even touched upon his friendship with Jackie Chan, offering the actor an open invitation to attend the festival.

"Jackie Chan is a great friend. As a matter of fact, my first Segway, which I ride around all over, was from Jackie Chan. He sends great Birthday gifts and is a very generous guy, a very smart guy and a very talented guy."

What a prospect it would be to see Arnold reunite with Jackie Chan as the third triplet in Triplets after they previously acted together in Around the World in 80 Days in 2004.
