Arnold at the National Clean Energy Summit!

It was "Viva Las Vegas" for the National Clean Energy Summit this year, in which Arnold Schwarzenegger, star of Showtime's Years of living Dangerously, was one of the speakers. The action star is very passionate about clean energy as an alternative venue for the world to power itself, and decided to channel his beliefs into a riveting analogy. Of course, he wisely pointed out how a radical idea years ago at improving one's body can be compared to how new energy ideas are perceived today.
"Now, we can see weight rooms are everywhere. Every hotel now has weight rooms, every university has weight rooms, every sports team, everyone is doing weight resistance training," Arnold states around the 1 hour and 23 minute mark of the CEP Opening Session video HERE.

"40 years ago, they said you would get a heart attack, you're gonna get stupid if you train with weights, you're gonna turn gay," the actor rambled, which met with laughter from the audience and fellow panelists. "And today, EVERYONE is training with weights. Because the message became fine-tuned, and it was the right message. That's what we need to do with the environmental crusade."
He offers the idea of taking the concept of energy alternatives where instead of condemning people over driving large cars, watching flat screen TV's or using jacuzzis, check energy efficiency settings, use solar panels, and pressure the car industry into focusing more on electric engines. "We gotta have a better message and make the subject sexier and more attractive rather than [focusing on] guilt."
