We're very pumped to see that they've at last produced a Dutch figure with bad-ass Schwarzenegger likeness. We're even getting two! Now we'll leave you with Arnold fan Lily F. from Los Angeles. She had the very fortunate opportunity to watch The Last Stand with a test audience four months before the official release date of January 18th. On September 20th she saw a screening of an almost finished version of The Last Stand and also agreed to fill out a short, movie-specific questionnaire after the screening. So without giving away spoilers, below are her thoughts she gives TheArnoldFans.

 • I was very excited when I realized that some of the moviemakers were with us in the audience. For example, one of the sound supervisors was sitting next to us across the aisle with a weird looking remote control for the movie’s sound and he was actually adjusting the volume and bangs as the movie was playing. We were also told that the special effects weren’t finished yet. I am sure they meant explosions, gore and rivers of blood.

 • It strikes me as a Clint Eastwood-y kind of movie. You’ve seen similar premises before, but not quite done the same way. Arnold here has a dramatic role. It is not the big guns, big muscle man, oh no. This is the retired police detective, long past his hay days, settled in the middle of a cornfield. He’s the underdog who has to use his brain on the spot.

 • He is not using his muscles to intimidate – they don’t exist in this movie.

 • The bad guys get bolder and more evil by the minute. The ginormous ego of the top bad guy makes it possible for the movie premise to exist. Thanks to that ego you get a car chase scene like you haven’t seen before. I mean – the car chase is worth the price of admission.  You have to see it on the big screen. Let’s just say the chase looks real and filmed very expertly.

 • Mayhem – plenty of blood around. I think they probably finished editing some of the bloody scenes otherwise if left “as is” – it could end up being R movie. I will not advise it for younger kids.

• There’s plenty of action. Watch the body count; it’s towards the high-end.

•  I love Luiz Guzman - that guy is funny without trying to be funny. Now, Johnny Knoxville is one crazy dude! I am not sure how much he was acting vs. how much it was Johnny, but boy, did he have some of the BEST scenes in the movie! He was great!

• My brother was with me and really liked it. As an Arnold fan, I believe this is a small-budget (for him) movie, geared towards bringing him back on the big screen and testing audiences’ reactions. Arnold the actor is back, in terrific acting shape, clever, gracefully aging and physically capable of showing someone much younger who’s the boss. And yes, I am impatiently waiting for the final version to hit the big screen so I can see it again in all its glory.
