You can always count on TurboMan to help Santa Schwarzenegger and lift spirits at the annual Christmas toy giveaway. While this is my fifth year donning the Jingle All the Way custom suit, Arnold has been a part of this gift giveaway and has been involved with the Hollenbeck Youth Center for over forty years. In a long, ongoing tradition at the Hollenbeck Youth Center in Los Angeles, Arnold Schwarzenegger brought his celebrity friends to help him hand out toys to inner-city children. This year, Arnold’s friends in attendance included Gabriel Luna of Terminator Dark Fate and FUBAR, Sugar Rey Leonard and Celebrity Apprentice winner, Matt Iseman. Also in attendance were cosplay members of the Star Wars group, The 501st.
Decades ago, Arnold heard many parents of these kids couldn’t afford toys so Schwarzenegger stepped in to give back to others in need. Every year, the Youth Center has been fortunate to provide thousands of low-income families with cheer and gifts during the holiday season. This year, on December 16th, 2003, TurboMan and the white-bearded action hero's other helpful “celebrity elves” were up on stage while Arnold address the crowd. People all around me were commenting on how fantastic Schwarzenegger looked with his white Santa beard.
Earlier this holiday season, I was also invited to a lunch to celebrate Schnitzel's twenty-year-anniversary of his inauguration as Governor of California. I wished Arnold and his lovely girlfriend, Heather, happy holidays and I also hope all of you fantastic fans also have a very Merry Christmas!
