Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the subject of a three hour documentary including in-depth interviews with those who helped and worked alongside The Oak!  Several of Arnold's friends and Hollywood heroes will provide their respective stories about their personal experiences with Arnold, although there are also interviews with those who opposed Arnold in one way or another.

Collaborative interview participants include actor Carl Weathers who portrayed the role of Dillon in Predator, actress Rae Dawn Chong who played Cindy in Commando, Ivan Reitman who directed Arnold on Twins and Kindergarten Cop, and Arnold's former bodybuilding training partner Ric Drasin.

In an exclusive interview, Ric Drasin tells TheArnoldFans about meeting Arnold in the 1970s.

"We met at Gold's Gym in 1970 and he had asked if he could work in on Bench Presses," Drasin begins.  "I said, sure, as long as you can keep up with me. I was benching about 450 back then. He liked the challenge and of course asked what was next as we moved on through a work out. We had fun and discussed training the next day. It lead into a nice friendship and then it came to pass that he'd pick me up for breakfast in the morning and then off to the gym to train. After that we'd go to Jamaica Bay Inn in the marina for lunch and swim in the pool. Ken Waller and a few others would show up. NO one ever told us that we couldn't swim there. Arnold weighed about 260 then. He was a good guy and lots of fun."

Peter Kent, Arnold's friend and stuntman on many of his films, will also be featured in the National Geographic special. Kent tells TheArnoldFans about his exhausting days with Arnold.

"I trained with him pretty much every day, even when I didn't want to,
" Peter tells us.  "He'd be like 'Peter, we're going to the gym now' and I'd be like, oh come on, you've been doing dialogue all day but i've been getting a shit kicking here. I got to the point when I was really getting abuse and i'd try to sneak off at the end of the day but I knew he'd come looking for me. I was his workout partner."

Interviews with those who opposed Arnold at one time or another include Lou Ferrigno, who competed against Arnold for the Mr. Olympia title as documented in Pumping Iron, and Republican Tom McClintock, who ran in opposition to Arnold in the race for election to be the Governor of California in 2003.

"Facing Arnold Schwarzenegger"
sounds to be a very compelling documentary which you will not want to miss when it airs on National Geographic at 9pm on September 27th, 2016. You can find out more about the series HERE!
