On July 30, 1947, this world was given a gift of the most Fantastic person ever-- our hero Arnold Schwarzenegger was born. Today, Arnold turns 66, and even though most people think about retiring by now, that seems like the furthest thing from The Oak's mind, much to his fans' joy! Just look at his plans so far for the next year:
Television:
Executive produceing and participating in "Years of Living Dangerously" climate change series on Showtime
Will also be consulting on the new Showtime drama series "Pump"
Movie lineup:
Escape Plan releases in U.S. Oct. 18
Sabotage releases Jan 24
Expendables 3 starts filming this fall, releases Aug 2014
Maggie starts filming this fall
Terminator 5 starts filming in January
The Legend of Conan starts filming next spring/summer (NOT official, just hopeful thinking!)
As if all of these movie projects weren't enough to keep him busy, Arnold will still find time to participate in After School All-Stars, The Schwarzenegger Institute at USC, The Arnold Classic and Sports Festival, and other causes that are important to him. Plus, he will still spend quality time with his family and smoke stogies with his friends! Is this guy amazing or what? Let's all honor Gov. Schwarzengger today by tweeting birthday messages (comment them below too), talking in your best Ah-nuld accent all day long, watching one or five of your favorite Oak movies (maybe even dust off The Villain or Hercules in NY), smoking fat stogies, cranking Arnocorps, eating schnitzel, and drinking beer!
Send us pics and stories if you host or attend an Arnold Party. It can be a huge event like Arnold Day in Orlando (Aug 3) or just a few friends, drinks, a TV, and Arnold! Just do something cool and tell us about it via TAFs Twitter, Facebook, or contact form.
TheTerminatorFans.com also wish Arnold a Happy Birthday this year so pop by and wish the Terminator a happy birthday there too by clicking here.
Finally, tune in to the online radio show Money For Lunch with Bert Martinez today-- around 1:45 pm Eastern Time, The Gillinator will be a featured guest to talk Arnold on his birthday! The show will be archived to listen to after it airs as well.
So Happy Birthday, Arnold! We're glad you're still staying hungry and going strong!
