If you noticed an extra high volume of tweets with #totalrecallbook tags, oh say 130,000 of them, it was because Arnold was slowly revealing the back cover of his autobiography on schwarzenegger.com, and every tweet containing that hashtag would help reveal more of the image. Very nice social marketing move! It took about 24 hours to reveal the whole thing, but most fans knew after just a couple that the image was the very recognizable poster shot of Arnold from The Terminator! An excellent choice, if not too surprising, since that is the role that put Arnold on the road to superstardom and will forever be linked to Arnold in film history.
What we found funny was that the algorithm for the parts of the picture that would be revealed was leaving the middle part with Arnold's face disproportionally covered until the very end. We thought, will there be a shocking reveal like showing Sly's face photoshopped on, a la Last Action Hero? Or maybe even this:
