Will There be a Tasker Sequel...or Only Lies?

Will there or won't there be a True Lies sequel? The original 1994 hit is after all one of Arnold's greatest movies and his top film amongst his female fans. The idea of Bill Paxton and Eliza Dushku joining forces with Helen and Harry could be movie magic and box office gold. However, James Cameron told TheArnoldFans and SandwichJohnFilms at Comic Con 2009 that he has no interest in directing a sequel. But if Cameron would still consider producing the film and would keep a watchful eye over it, I believe fans would be on board with a new director. Without Cameron as director or producer, let's not ever bother to get Jim's blessing for a sequel, agreed?
Tom Arnold, as always, is going around promoting a True Lies sequel... but this time he teases audiences with a new twist. Tom, while on a morning talk show, recently said it's happening still but he can’t say anything about the mystery film until after the Oscars. He also said it will not be called True Lies 2, and he is looking forward to working with Jim and Arnold again as soon as he gives up the Governor thing.
Could it be possible that James Cameron may be assembling the True Lies crew to star in an all new action film? Not TL2 but rather have the same cast with new roles. If this is true, Arnold for example would not be Tasker; he'd be another badass character. So our belief is that True Lies 2 will never happen but let's hope for a similar film with the same cast reunion.
Cameron tells us at Comic Con: "Well, Arnold and I have discussed the possibility of him coming back to acting. I would not rule that possibility out. But Arnold loves a press conference just as much as the next guy, so I'll let him do the announcement."
Governor Arnold himself recently asked Eliza Dushku if she is up for returning although Schwarzenegger may have only been messing around. You be the judge by Dushku's tweet to her fans on Feb 14th, 7:37 PM, 2010:
"Reunited w/ Ahhnold at half-time! Hilarious- asked if I'm ready for True Lies2! Told him NO one fights like me."
In other True Lies news, Adam Gregorich, owner of the HomeTheaterForum.com, spoke with James Cameron about bringing True Lies to Blu-ray.
"James Cameron was at the launch event for Samsung's new 3D TV lineup. They had the Black Eyed Peas perform in Time Square and he was there to film it in 3D. After the show I had the opportunity to ask him now that Avatar was finally finished if Home Theater Forum members could expect to finally see True Lies and The Abyss on Blu-ray. He told me that he had three projects he was working on this year: converting Titanic to 3D, bringing True Lies and the Abyss to Blu-ray."

*UPDATE: TheArnoldFans just spoke with Van Ling, producer of Cameron's films to DVD and Blu-ray. Ling tells us that True Lies may still be on the slow track. Don't expect a True Lies Blu-ray announcement anytime soon.
Van Ling: "Unfortunately, I have no info at all on True Lies for Blu-ray or DVD. As you can imagine, Jim has been busy with Avatar-related activities and has had no time to address any of his previous films."
